Photo Artista is a painting tool that takes no time to master in order to create your own original work of art. Our efficient method in a simple interface requires a few easy steps: Start with a photo, choose a paint style, and then apply … let the application do the work. All that is required of you is the appreciation – we will take care of the rest.

This app applies the most sophisticated brush strokes, lighting and canvas texture to your images with the option to remove texturing when printing to canvas. Photo Artista is a professional artistic media that graphic artists, photographers, and hobbyists rely on for high quality end results.

IMPORTANT If you have already bought the In App Version of Photo Artista Sketch or the In App Version of Photo Artista Haiku but it is not showing up simply click the buy button as if you are going to rebuy it and it will redownload to your iPad. ( It will not recharge you.)

Getting Started:

To get started simply click get photo to select an image from your Camera Roll or press take a picture

Buttons

On the iPad the buttons are located above the image

Customize

You can customize your image with two different tabs: the Adjust tab and Edges tab.

Adjust Tab

Brush Style

Change the bristle patterns seen in the painting. (Not available when Impressionism style is selected.)

Brush Size

Move slider left for a smaller brush size or right to increase the brush size for larger thicker strokes.

Bristle Depth

Controls the amount of bristle pattern seen in the painting by moving the slider right.

Canvas

Move slider right to control how much canvas is seen through the paint. (Not available when Impressionism style is selected.)

Stroke Variation

Change where the brush strokes are applied to your painting.

Tone

Change the overall color tone of your painting by moving the slider to the right. Some of the original color may be seen since tone on maximum settings only colors 85%. To change the one tone touch the color chip left of the slider.

Lighten

Add brightness and luminosity to your painting by moving the slider left.

Color Shift

moving the slider either left or right will shift the paintings color range from red through yellow, green and blue.

Edges

Artistic edges are provided to give the appearance of a painting not completely filled in on a canvas.

Canvas Texture

Add or decrease the texture in the areas around the edge. Change the color of the canvas by touching the color box defaulted to white. Remove the edge by choosing none.

Saving

There are multiple ways to save and share your image all located under the Share tab

This will open up a Facebook login screen once logged in your photo will be automatically uploaded to Facebook.

Upload to Twitter

This will open up a Twitter login screen once logged in your photo will be automatically uploaded to Twitter.

Upload to Tumblr

This will open up aTumblr login screen once logged in your photo will be automatically uploaded to Tumblr.

Settings

Change Image output size, Logout of Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr, and rebuild the built in presets that came with the app

Use the Style Tab to view our different presets

Photo Artista comes with 3 built in styles and 3 that are in app purchases

Abstract Watercolor Stylized Watercolor

Saving and Deleting Presets

Once you have applied a preset and modified it using the adjust tab, you can save your own custom preset by using the "Save Preset" button located under the Share tab on the main screen. To delete a preset click the blue minus sign in the bottom corner which will make red Xs appear next to the preset thumbnails tap them to delete. To retrieve the built in presets go to the Share Tab and select Settings and press Rebuild Presets.
